Velas Climent has firmly established itself as a leading brand in the 2025 Andalusian Cup of Senior Sailing Dinghies, positioning as the most highly rated sailmaker among the top five competitors in the championship.
According to the ranking published by Abordo Sailing, Climent achieved a total score of 15 points, being the only brand to reach a double-digit valuation. All Top 5 sailors competed using Climent sails — with the exception of one — which reinforces the quality and performance that define this Andalusian brand.
Among the highlights is José Vicente Climent, who, in addition to being a sailor, is also the shipyard manager and designer of the sails that have taken numerous athletes to the podium. Only one participant, Alfonso Merello, used a British sail (Ratsey & Lapthorn), thus completing the overall ranking.
The scores were determined by Abordo Sailing Noticias, based on the boats used by the sailors classified among the top five positions in the 2025 Andalusian Cup.
This recognition strengthens Velas Climent’s reputation as a national benchmark in the manufacturing of high-performance sails, combining technical precision, craftsmanship, and excellence in competition.
